History and Origins
Camu Camu is native to the Amazon, especially the flooded areas of Peru and Brazil. It was consumed by riverside communities and gained world fame for being a Vitamin C superfood. Only recently has it been cultivated on a commercial scale.

Camu Camu has up to 60 times more Vitamin C than an orange! Its taste is so sour that almost no one eats it fresh. In Japan, it has become a popular ingredient in candies and energy drinks!
